Happy New Year! Now, Let's Post!

Posted on Sun Jan 2nd, 2011 @ 6:57pm by Rear Admiral Relau Chlan (Ret.)

Hey all!

I just woke up from a nap, so if this news post seems more bouncy than usual, that's why! Wheeee! Anyways, I hope that everyone had a great new year, or the equivalent, wherever you live. I'll be honest, it was boring here. I didn't even watch the ball drop in NYC because it was 2 hours ahead of us. And they only replayed it for the west coast, which I live not near, so.... I couldn't see it. Meh. It's all okay though.

Kiwi, my bird says hi to everyone, and wishes them a great new year. In her own special, personal way of telling you that you aren't holding her enough. :)

So, getting back to the mission, I guess. We are looking to continue this with a senior staff briefing and then straight into the actual meat of the mission. Also, please meet Dan, who plays Cdr. Franz, who will be your IC commanding officer for some time. That's IC mind you. I'm not going anywhere. If you want your own command, I can point out a nice USS Calypso in my TG. If not, then TF72 has a bunch of ships as well.

Hopefully, this mission has a nice flavor to it. Like promised, I opened the missions up to you, the crew and I've received many ideas from a few people. Remember that you simm here too! Let me know what you think of the mission and all of its details. I'm not looking to create the perfect mission, because I doubt that could happen. However, I want you guys to know I value your opinion, and I am simply the person that steers the ship, not the dictator some people make me out to be.

Thanks for all you do on the Shanghai, and I hope that we can all grow closer together this year. Best wishes!
