Specifications - McCall Class Escort Fighter

« Back to Specs

Summary

The Shanghai carries two squadrons of ten McCall class fighters; the Diamondbacks squadron and the Red Devils squadron.

The McCall Class Escort Fighter was designed to be part of the complement of large vessels that utilized a high number of auxiliary craft. These fighters were designed to be small and easily stored in the main vessel, without sacrificing space for the traditional complement of small craft. Their design, in some ways, resembles a small version of the Argo. They are generally tasked with escort flights, with two or more McCall's protecting other auxiliary craft or intercepting incoming fighters.
