Well, it had to happen eventually. Getting wounded, that is. Actually, it's amazing I avoided it as long as I did, given that I get shot at for a living. The crazy part is that it was all because of a traitor. Not crazy that it happened, but crazy that I of all people wouldn't be expecting that. I'm not even sure exactly where I went wrong, but I must have let my guard down somewhere. I'd better not be going soft; that doesn't cut it in this line of work.

That doctor told me I can't do anything "strenuous" for at least three weeks. Fat chance of that. By the time I'd been on this ship three weeks we'd had a Reman assault team damn near kill the Admiral. I'll not be laying around "recovering" and watch the next time something like that happens. A week of rest, maybe, but then I've got to get back to training. Can't have the troops thinking I'm slacking, after all.

OOC: With all the "where are the Marines?" comments last time things were moving, I figured I'd better establish some reason I wasn't around to help. So, there you have it, I got shot.
